The Star Cinema fantasy-comedy movie starring Vic Sotto and Bea Alonzo has been hyped up by the so acclaimed “sulutan” issue between Bea Alonzo and Toni Gonzaga. We all know that the movie project was first offered to Toni Gonzaga as it was reported before. But she was replaced by Bea Alonzo who is the second choice of Vic Sotto to be paired up with him on his comeback movie with Star Cinema.

But recently in an interview with Push, Vic Sotto made it clear that it wasn’t his decision to replace Toni Gonzaga in his new movie.“I didn’t have anything to do with that decision. Wala akong karapatan para gawin yun e. So kung ano man ang final casting, that was Star Cinema’s decision. And I’m very happy with their decision,” said Vic Sotto. When both Bea and Toni were interviewed they just simply complimented each other, didn’t took it seriously and asked the public to stop comparing them.

When Vic was asked about working with Star Cinema again after 14 years he said “Star Cinema offered a very nice project. Hindi ako nahirapang mag-desisyon, readily I accepted it kasi I really liked the project. Medyo matagal-tagal na rin akong hindi nakapag-trabaho sa Star Cinema so it’s nice to be back”.

The two lead star have already started shooting the movie.Bea shared in an interview  that the movie will have a fantasy feel on it.Its primarily because child actors Zaijan Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat will play angels in the film. She also shared something about her role  “Kakaiba ‘yung role ko, isang doktor na may pagka-O.C. and it’s my first time to do comedy. Siyempre kami ni Bossing may love angle kami.”

As for Bosing Vic, “Ako’y isang faith healer na gumagamit ng alternative medicine. By stroke of faith nakilala ko si Zaijian who’s from heaven, na siya yung talagang may powers to heal people. On the side, si Bea naman is a doctor of medicine. So it’s a clash between science and faith healing. So kung papaano kami magka-clash at magkakagustuhan yun ang malaking problema.

The untitled movie, (although by rumor entitled “You’re My Hero”) is starring Vic Sotto, Bea Alonzo, Pokwang, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Cogie Domingo, Zaijan Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat. The movie is reportedly directed and co-produced by Tony Reyes and a joint venture between M-Zet Productions and Star Cinema.
