In two weeks time, Praybeyt Benjamin was able to garner around 270 Million pesos. And at this time being, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin remains unkabogable because it has just surpassed what No Other Woman had about a month ago, with a whooping P327 million of ticket sales according to Star Cinema.

Praybeyt Benjamin 2

And because of that Star Cinema and acclaimed director Wenn V. Deramas is prepping for a Praybeyt Benjamin movie part 2, by 2013. In an interview with Abs-Cbn, Direk Wenn explained about why Praybeyt Benjamin 2 is slated for release on 2013 and he said. .

“Yung part 2 (ng Praybeyt Benjamin) nasa 2013 ‘yon. Kasi madugo ang part 2. Kasi ginawa nito, kailangang pangatawanan namin ‘yung bansa sa Europe. Alam namin na kapag sa ibang bansa kinuhanan madugo, pero ibigay natin sa tao ang nararapat.”

The director also said lead star Vice Ganda will be doing another movie before filming the sequel of “Praybeyt Benjamin.”

I haven’t watched Praybeyt Benjamin myself so I cannot really argue with Direk Wenn after all the things he said as a rebuttal to all bad criticisms he received from indie directors. Instead I would like to challenge Direk Wenn Deramas to do a movie which can shut these directors (and movie critics alike) from criticizing his directional talent and films.
