The Sarah-Gerald film “Won’t Last A Day Without You” garnered a whooping P20-million on its first day of screening last November 30, 2011. And as expected it averaged with the first-day grosses of Star Cinema and Viva Film’s previous blockbuster movies “No Other Woman” (P15 M) and “Praybeyt Benjamin” (est. P24 M).
Star Cinema Advertising and Promotions Manager Mico del Rosario tweeted, “Happy December! And happy sasa-gege! We made P20M yesterday for #Won’tLastADayWithoutYou!”.
The film is about a bitter radio DJ who adviced a brokenhearted girl to break up with her playboy lover. Soon after the boyfriend found out Dj Heidee caused their break-up he started asking for help to get his girlfriend back as a compensation for what the Dj did. Little did Dj Heidee know that she would fall in love in the process.
My prediction for the box office status of Won’t Last A Day Without You, is that the film might outdo what the two previous movies have raked in 4 straight weeks. But that is, if and only if, the movie Won’t Last A Day Without You will last long enough in theaters. The Metro Manila Film Festival 2011 is a only a couple of days away and this film might end up running in theaters for only around 26 days in total (3 Weeks). This might actually cause some box office issues like what happened last year between the movies My Amnesia Girl and the two box office MMFF entries, Ang Tanging Ina Mo Lasy Na To! & Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote.
Anyway, I’ve read good reviews of Won’t Last A Day Without You already. Okay fine, I’m going to watch it na! 😀
